Chemical Peels

Chemical Peels improve the texture of your skin through the application of a chemical agent which promotes the growth of new skin cells. This causes regeneration of the tissue, resulting in firmer, smoother skin and fresh-faced glow. There are three types of peels available: superficial, medium and deep. The variation used is dependent on your skin concerns. At Skingen we only perform superficial and medium depth peels.

Patients with imperfections on their face, neck or hands can benefit greatly from this procedure, specifically those with:

  • Uneven skin texture
  • Uneven skin tone (pigmentation)
  • Sun damage
  • Large pores
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Skin brightening
  • Acne and Acne scars

Seeing that there are such a wide variety of chemical peels available for a variety of skincare concerns, the type and amount of chemical peel treatment(s) required before you see the results you desire will also vary greatly. You will however start seeing results after your very first chemical peel treatment!

Chemical peels are a great starting point for aesthetic treatments and can be incorporated in combination therapies to enhance the affects of individual therapies. Our signature 3D Bespoke Facial as well as our Dermaplaning & Peel Facial are combination therapies that incorporate superficial chemical peels. Our Pixel Peel is a combination therapy that combines the use of a Medium Depth Chemical peel (Skin Tech Easy TCA) and Dermapen to treat the affects of sundamage and scarring.

A new and exciting chemical peel that has recently entered the industry is the Periocular Peel,  this specialised peel is indicated for around the eye area and has shown significant results for fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation and dark circles.

A thorough Skin Consultation is the perfect place to start when deciding on a treatment plan for your skin.
